Pumpkin Spice Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern

Yarn and Hook

For this pattern I used one skein of Loops and Treads Impeccable yarn in the color gold.

Using the hook size that was recommended on the yarn label. I used the 5.0mm hook. You can find my favorite crochet hooks here.

I also did a crochet hook review about these hooks and why I like them here.

A great store online to get yarn is called LoveCrafts. They have all the yarn and crochet supplies that I use and love. You can check out the LoveCrafts store here.

Crochet Swatch

To start my crochet pattern design for the pumpkin spice infinity scarf I crocheted a swatch. I came up with a slight variation to the double crochet stitch. Deciding that I would use the double crochet stitch but I would only use the front loops and back loops only in a multiple of threes. With that said, I love to design with using multiples of three. There is something about it that is very pleasing to the eye. I once took a photography class in college and was introduced to the golden rule. Or how he described it as the rule of thirds. This sequence also is present in nature. I try to use this rule in designing not only in crochet patterns but also in my photography and designing the interior of my home.

Crochet

So, after playing around with swatches I put the design into action and started to write a pattern and crochet it.  I designed this crochet pattern to be for beginners. It is an easy repeat that works ups quickly.

Here’s the crochet pattern

Pattern note:

blo = back loop only

flo = front loop only

This means you only put the hook under one loop. You do not put the hook under both of the loops. See next photos.

This is showing you that back loop only.

    This is such a pretty fall scarf! I have knitted infinity scarves before but I’ve never been able to get the hang of crocheting lol.

    So beautiful!!!! You and the scarf! ☺️ I wish I knew how to crochet. I’ve got some extremely basic knitting skills, but never learned crochet. But it’s something I’d love to conquer someday.
