So, what’s for dinner you may ask? You will know for sure when you plan it out.

How I use the meal planner

When it’s time to plan my meals I make a master plan of ideas for the month. I usually ask the kids what they like and compile a list. Then from there I break that monthly list into weekly meals.

The monthly planner makes it easy to switch the weekly meals around so you always have something different every week. It keeps things interesting. Ya know not eating the same thing for three days straight.

Then, you take your weekly meal plan and write down the recipes for each one so you know what ingredients you will need to buy. By taking the recipe cards you then can go and do inventory of what you already have on hand and what you need to buy.

Also included with this meal planner are grocery store isle lists. You can take them with you to your grocery store and write down what is in each isle. This will in turn make it a breeze to write your lists and find everything in the store fast.

I have this cute sign in my kitchen to help display visibly what is for dinner each week. This little reminder also gets the kids involved because they love changing the sign. I think it makes them feel like they are at a restaurant.

I found one similar to mine you can find it here.

Why you should meal plan

By using this meal planner you will save time and money. You will save time by knowing what you need to buy and where it is located in the store. You will also save money honey because you will be sticking to a list instead of walking around just picking out things you may or may not need to use.

The meal plan is just that, its a plan. When you plan you have an action in place. This sets everything up to take the question out of , “What’s for dinner?”

Love this! Meal planning feels like a hassle at first, but it’s so worth it when I don’t have to think about what I’m going to eat.
