About Me

Hi, I’m Stephanie—welcome to my blog! This is a cozy corner of the internet where I share my love of crocheting, gluten-free food, and simple living in our country handmade home. If you love yarn, fiber arts, homemade food, and slowing down to enjoy a creative life, you’re in the right place.

My Love for Crochet & Fiber Arts

My journey with crochet began when I was young, thanks to my grandma. She taught me how to crochet, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Over the years, crocheting has become more than a hobby—it’s a creative outlet, a stress reliever, and a way to make beautiful and functional handmade pieces.

I love exploring new crochet patterns, experimenting with stitches, and, of course, taking long strolls down the yarn aisle. There’s nothing better than finding the perfect skein of yarn and imagining what it will become. From cozy home décor to wearable crochet projects, I enjoy creating items that are both practical and meaningful.

On this blog, you’ll find inspiration for handmade crochet projects, tips for choosing yarn, and encouragement to embrace the slow, creative rhythm of fiber arts.

Gluten-Free Cooking & Celiac-Friendly Recipes

A few years ago, our family’s lifestyle changed when my oldest daughter was diagnosed with celiac disease. That’s when my journey into gluten-free cooking truly began. Learning how to shop gluten-free and create meals she actually enjoys was a learning curve—but one I embraced with love.

Now, I enjoy sharing gluten-free recipes, kitchen tips, and ideas for making gluten-free food that tastes just as comforting and satisfying as traditional dishes. My goal is to help other families navigating celiac disease or gluten intolerance feel confident in the kitchen.

Creative Living & Artistic Passions

Creativity has always been a big part of who I am. In addition to crochet and fiber arts, I’ve always loved photography, which led me to take a months-long course at my local community college to sharpen my skills. Photography allows me to capture the beauty of handmade work, food, and everyday life.

I’m also a licensed cosmetologist and love doing hair, nails, and makeup. Doing hair lets me flex my artistic muscles even more—it’s creative, expressive, and deeply rewarding. Helping people feel beautiful and confident is something I truly enjoy.

Simple Living in Our Country Home

This blog reflects our simple, handmade lifestyle—one rooted in creativity, intentional living, and finding joy in the little things. Whether it’s a crochet project on the hook, a gluten-free recipe in the oven, or a latte in hand, I believe life is sweeter when it’s lived slowly and creatively.
